What it compares
Pick your firm size and tick the tools you pay for. The calculator multiplies each tool's per-user monthly price by your seat count, adds them up, and sets the total beside the one FinishTax plan that fits that many people: Solo Preparer at $29 a month for one person, Small Firm at $79 for two to five, and Agency at $149 for six or more. The size buttons use one seat count each: 3 for 2–5, 8 for 6–10, and 12 for 11 or more. The yearly figure is the monthly difference times twelve.
Where the prices come from
Each price is the vendor's published list price, checked against its own public pricing page on August 6, 2026: TaxDome, Karbon, Canopy, Financial Cents, Liscio, DocuSign, Dropbox and Calendly. Negotiated rates and multi-year prepay discounts are left out. TaxDome and Financial Cents cap their cheapest plan at one user, so for a larger firm the calculator uses the plan that firm has to buy: TaxDome Pro instead of Essentials, and Financial Cents Team instead of Solo.
It's an estimate
Prices change, and vendors bundle features differently. TaxDome includes its own e-signature and document storage, so a TaxDome firm may not pay for DocuSign or Dropbox at all; untick anything you don't pay for. The FinishTax side uses each plan's monthly price, and payment-processing fees and add-ons are left out on both sides. Check each vendor's pricing page before you decide, and see the pricing page for what every FinishTax plan includes.
