Roadmap Honestly, not a timeline

We'd rather tell you what's actually true than promise a date. Two lists: what's built and waiting on one thing, and what preparers ask for that we haven't built yet.

Built, waiting on production setup

  • PAdES digital sealing on completed envelopes — the signing pipeline can already apply it; we just haven't installed a production signing certificate yet, so envelopes finish unsealed (still protected by SHA-256 hashing and a completion certificate). See Security for the full explanation.

What we've heard most, and haven't built

  • A native app for the firm dashboard — today it's a browser app, same as the client portal (which is already installable to a phone's home screen)
  • IRS transcript pull — retrieve transcripts directly within FinishTax
  • A UI for the custom report builder — the saved-report engine (filters, columns, scheduling) already exists on the server; there's no screen to drive it yet
  • VaultLedge data handoff — pull year-end books straight into a client's tax file
